A central requirement for the project is the collaboration of 4 participating schools. This is crucial. Each centre will carry out its own preliminary investigation to identify the priority issues to promote equality within their communities. The 4 schools will then come together and choose which of the 6 areas from the “Hexagon of Equality in Europe” they will focus on specifically.
This project is divided into 3 stages:
The collaborative organization of events to coincide with the International days that seek to raise awareness and celebrate equality with relation to the 6 areas that are the focus of the Erasmus+ initiative, e.g. International Women’s Day, International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
Pupils will travel to other participating schools to learn about the central issue identified by the host school. Pupils will spend their time in the host city investigating and learning about this issue to prepare to produce a piece of work that documents what they have learned.
The creation of a collaborative website that will include photos, reports, and podcasts of the students’ experiences during their mobility trips. Finally it will include a virtual debate in which the pupils will discuss the conclusions of the project and what they can take away from this unique experience.
